The driver of a 'suspicious'-looking vehicle tried ramming police officers before being arrested. The vehicle was spotted by officers driving through the Halesowen and Wollescote areas of Dudley.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said the motorist "made an attempt to ram us" before they fled. Officers arrested a man on suspicion of five offences - drink driving, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, criminal damage and possession of Class A drugs.

Officers shared a photograph of the scene showing a patrol car parked across another car on a road during darkness.
