Man charged with attempted rape after reports of sexual assault in Derby

Derbyshire police have charged a man with attempted rape after reports that a woman was sexually assaulted in Derby. Ivan Godla has been charged with attempted rape, sexual assault, exposure and robbery following an incident which took place on Monday, November 18.

The 23-year-old, of Leacroft Road, Derby, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 25, where the matter was adjourned and he was remanded in custody. A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: "Officers have charged a man after a reported sexual assault in Derby.

"We received reports of a woman being sexually assaulted by a man in Portland Street on November 18. Ivan Godla has been charged with attempted rape, sexual assault, exposure and robbery."
