Police launch investigation after man collapsed in Ilkeston street and later dies

Police have confirmed that a man has died after being found in a residential street in Ilkeston. Officers were called to Monks Close at around 7pm on Saturday (November 23) to reports that a man had been found collapsed.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards. A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: "We were called to reports of a man being found collapsed in Monks Close, Ilkeston, just before 7pm on Saturday.

"The man, who was in his 30s, was taken to hospital but died shortly after. Investigations into the circumstances of the man’s death are ongoing. However, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
