Police search after men threatened to stab taxi driver if he didn't drop them off

Police have released CCTV images of three men they'd like to speak to as part of the investigation

Police investigating reports three men threatened to stab a taxi driver if he didn't drop them into town have released CCTV images of people they'd like to speak to in connection with the investigation. Officers said the taxi driver was threatened when three men and a dog got into a cab at the Tesco store in Hall Street, Alfreton.

The driver of the taxi told officers that the men threatened to stab him if he did not drive them to Ripley – he dropped the trio and the dog in the town as ordered, police said.

The incident happened at 9.20pm on Wednesday, September 11. Police have since released CCTV images of three men they'd like to speak to as part of the investigation.
