A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the chest in Darley Park this week. Police say he was chased into the popular Derby park from a car park off Darley Park Drive by two men.

The victim was taken to hospital and received treatment for what was found to be a minor physical injury. The incident took place at 10am on Wednesday, October 16.

The two suspects, described by officers as being Asian in ethnicity, left the scene in a black BMW 1 Series which then travelled down Duffield Road towards the city centre.

Officers understand that this is an isolated incident and was a targeted assault. Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident – in particular anyone with CCTV or dashcam that may have captured the incident or the moments before or after.
