Thai authorities have arrested 11 Myanmar nationals traveling illegally aboard a motorized boat en route from Sangkhlaburi to Thong Pha Phum in Thailand’s Kanchanaburi Province, according to reports from the Thai side. The incident occurred in the early hours of December 14, when Thai security personnel at a checkpoint within Vajiralongkorn Dam observed a suspicious motorboat and signaled it to stop for inspection.  However, the boat sped away, prompting authorities to intercept it at the Thong Pha Phum jetty.
