Lotto player comes agonisingly close to scooping €2m jackpot - but still bags huge prize

Despite missing out on the massive cash windfall, the punter still has reason to celebrate as they still landed a life-changing prize.
While there was no winner of last night’s Lotto jackpot worth €2 million, in total, over 66,000 players won prizes across Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including the Dublin winner of the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €81,820.

The player purchased their Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from Centra, Corduff, Blackcourt Avenue, Dublin 15.
The winning numbers in Saturday night’s (November 23) Lotto draw were: 5, 9, 25, 36, 37, 40 and the Bonus was 33.
The National Lottery is urging all players in the Dublin 15 area to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
There were also 75 winners of the Raffle Prize in Saturday night's draw, with each winner receiving €500. The winning raffle number was 0313.
Meanwhile the search is on to find the two lucky Irish Lotto players who both won a staggering €1 million in Friday’s (22nd November) special EuroMillions raffle draw.
Friday's EuroMillions raffle draw guaranteed that 100 EuroMillions players across all nine participating countries would each win one of the €1 million raffle prizes.
The National Lottery revealed yesterday that players from Dublin and Kerry are among the winners of the €1 million raffle prize. The winning Irish raffle codes were I-RKJ-86198 and I-RKS-16405.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the selling location of the €1 million raffle prizes in Dublin and Kerry are retail-based and the stores will be announced in the coming days.
