Five potential bids to host UEFA Women's EURO 2029

Germany, Italy, Poland and Portugal have declared their interest in hosting UEFA Women's EURO 2029, while Denmark and Sweden have joined forces for a fifth potential bid.

This marks another promising step underlining the pan-European growth of women's football across different regions and the widespread interest in UEFA competitions.

Final bids must be made by 28 August 2025, before the host is appointed in December 2025.

Germany, Italy, Denmark and Sweden have all staged the Women's EURO before, while Poland and Portugal would be hosting for the first time.

The 2029 tournament will be the third Women's EURO to feature 16 teams, following on from the 2022 edition in England and 2025 in Switzerland.
