Chelsea and Nottingham Forest will meet on Sunday at Stamford Bridge

by · CBS Sports

Enzo Maresca's Chelsea will face Nottingham Forest at Stanford Bridge on Sunday in the last match before October's international break. The Blues had a good start to the new season under the former Leicester manager and won the last three games in a row, while Nuno Espirito Santo's side lost the home game against Fulham but were also the only team able to win against Arne Slot's Liverpool this season. How to watch and odds

  • Date: Sunday, Oct. 6 | Time: 9 a.m. ET
  • Location: Stanford Bridge -- London, England
  • Live stream: Peacock
  • Odds: Chelsea -150; Draw +210; Nottingham Forest +400

Storylines

Chelsea: Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia and Cole Palmer were not involved in Thursday's game as they haven't been registered in the Conference League squad and they will likely start on Sunday. With three assists in each of his first three Premier League games, Jadon Sancho needs one more to equal Cesc Fabregas's 2014 Chelsea record of four in four games.

Nottingham Forest: Espirito Santo and Forest will count on the comeback of Morgan Gibbs-White in the team after the English player missed the last game against Fulham due to a suspension after he received a red card against Brighton the week before.

Prediction

Maresca's side are the favourites and should win but it won't be easy against Espirito Santo's team this weekend. Pick: Chelsea 2, Nottingham Forest 1.
