Tin Cup Rally on Saturday

A rally is planned for Saturday along Fortune Drive calling for changes to pension rates.

The third Seniors Tin Cup Rally will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in along the sidewalk in front of the Fortune Shopping Centre, 750 Fortune Dr.

Organizers said Saturday will be the last opportunity for attendees to sign a petition calling for changes to the Canadian pension system before it’s sent to Ottawa.

Seniors Tin Cup rallies are part of a grassroots movement that started in B.C., aimed at raising awareness of poverty among seniors.
