The third annual Penticton Firefighters Charitable Dodgeball Tournament runs this weekend, promising to be a fun family-friendly event for a great cause.

On Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., all our welcome to head down to the Activate Penticton outdoor rink in Gyro Park to catch the action.

Seventeen teams signed up to pay to play, with proceeds going to the Penticton Firefighters' Charitable Society.

Those teams will be participating in the event run by off-duty firefighters. Neighbourhood Brewing will be supplying beverages in the beer garden starting at 10:30 a.m.

Plus, pay by donation to try your hand at the Hardest Dodgeball throw station.

Penticton firefighters work hard all year volunteering at local events and charity fundraisers for local programs, charities and kids' programs.

They are currently in the last month of their e-bike giveaway raffle. Some tickets are still available, but there are only 1,000 total so potential winners are urged not to wait.

Tickets are $20 each and the grand prize is two Trek e-bikes valued at $10,000.

Stop in at The Bike Barn or either Penticton Fire Hall to purchase your ticket in person or click here for online sales.

The draw will be on Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. and the winner will be notified.
