Partner of Little Mix star Andre Gray is latest Plymouth Argyle signing

Partner of Little Mix star, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Andre Gray has become the latest signing to Plymouth Argyle. Head coach Wayne Rooney has said he is sure that Andre will be a "good addition to the squad".

The 33-year-old striker will be with Argyle until the new year. He has a long list of former football clubs, having played for Luton Town, Brentford, Burnley, Watford and Queens Park Rangers.

Argyle's Wayne Rooney said: "With the disappointment of losing TJ until the new year I felt we needed another body in there, with Michael Obafemi and Ryan. We had a look round at free agents and Andre's name stood out way above the other players.

"We made contact and he showed a desire to want to come here so it was quite quick. We are still waiting on international clearance to see if he can be available for tomorrow. Hopefully he is, but other than that everything else is done. I'm delighted. I think he's a proven player in this league, he's a goal scorer and he will be a good addition to the squad."

Before his recent Argyle signing, he had been without a club since he left Saudi Pro League side Al-Riyadh in the summer. PlymouthLive reports that he has joined the Pilgrims on a contract until January.

Andre is a Jamaican international and has 13 appearances for the national side and three goals. He moved overseas in the summer of 2022 when he joined Aris in Cyprus and then signed for Al-Riyadh in September 2023.

While Argyle are hopeful for their new signing, Andre's partner Leigh-Anne might not be feeling the same way. Leigh-Anne has previously spoken out about how difficult she find's her husband's career taking him away from their young family.

The pair announced their relationship in January 2017, where Leigh-Anne posted a picture of them together. Three years later, in 2020, the couple confirmed their engagement. Leigh-Anne gave birth to their twins in August 2021 and the couple married in June 2023.

Speaking on the Table Manners podcast, hosted by Jessie and Lennie Ware, Leigh-Anne said maintaining a long distance relationship with her husband is "so hard".

When asked whether she resents the fact her footballer husband lives far away and moves frequently, she answered honestly. Leigh-Anne said: "I try not to because I know what he’s doing it for, he’s doing it for us. But it’s so hard though, having two two-and-a-half year olds.

Speaking about Andre's contract in Saudi Arabia, she continued: “It actually ends this summer so he’s home next week. I’m so excited.

“Then family - valued, beautiful time. But we don’t know [what’s next]. But that’s the thing about being with a footballer, you don’t know where you’re going to be."
