by Scott Trotter · The MirrorRuben Amorim has named the first starting lineup of his Manchester United tenure to face Ipswich Town.
The former Sporting CP boss, who was appointed at the beginning of November to succeed Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, takes charge for the first time.. Amorim has made three changes to the final lineup named by interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy before the international break.
It remains to be seen whether the new head coach will implement his favoured 3-4-3 formation with four defenders named in the XI and Lisandro Martinez dropping out of United's lineup for Jonny Evans. That sees Matthijs de Ligt, Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui also lining up in front of Andre Onana.
Christen Eriksen also comes into the team in favour of Manuel Ugarte in the centre of the field. The Denmark international will partner Casemiro at the base of midfield with Ugarte joined on the bench by Kobbie Mainoo who makes his return after missing England's international fixtures due to injury.
Marcus Rashford looks set to lead United's forward line with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee only among the substitues.
Manchester United XI: Onana; Dalot, De Ligt, Evans, Mazraoui, Casemiro, Eriksen, Diallo, Fernandes, Rashford, Garnacho.
Substitutes: Bayindir, Malacia, Shaw, Mainoo, Mount, Ugarte, Antony, Hojlund, Zirkzee.
