Jurgen Klopp is reportedly "very excited" about the prospect of working with French second-tier side Paris FC following Red Bull's acquisition of a stake in the club.

The former Liverpool boss, who left Anfield at the end of last season, has already taken up his next role as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer. Although he won't start his new job until January 1, 2025, he's already expressed his enthusiasm for the task ahead to Antoine Arnault, the prospective owner of Paris FC and CEO of fashion brand Christian Dior.

Arnault, set to become the majority shareholder of the club with a 52% stake while Red Bull will own 11%, shared Klopp's excitement during an interview with RMC Sport. He revealed that the ex-Mainz manager was thrilled by the upcoming project and was looking forward to making history with the unique Parisian project.

In a revealing press conference, Arnault disclosed his multiple conversations with the former Dortmund manager and highlighted Klopp's enthusiasm for the new venture. "I was able to talk several times with Klopp," he said.

"He is very excited about the project and the prospect of coming to work with teams here. Red Bull also has absolutely revolutionary data tools that will help us on scouting. They're a sporting partner, they're going to help us in all sorts of ways, to recruit the best players and to find them better than others."

Klopp's return to football so soon may surprise some Liverpool fans. However the German always said his promise to the Reds was to never manage in England again, and not to swear off the game altogether.

"What I know definitely – I will never, ever manage a different club in England than Liverpool, 100 per cent. That’s not possible," Klopp said back in January. "But all the rest, will I ever work again? Of course, I know myself, I cannot just sit around."

As part of their expanding empire, which includes RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Bragantino, FC Liefering, and now Leeds United, Red Bull's stake in Paris is set to rise to 15%. Arnault's share is also expected to soar to 80% after current president Pierre Ferracci steps down from his 30% holding by 2027, reports the Express.

Arnault clarified the ownership situation, insisting on the club's future under his family's sole stewardship. "The club will belong to my family. It will not be co-owned by the Arnault family and Red Bull," he said via L'Equipe.

"They don't want to get into timeshare with a hypothetical Red Bull Paris FC, it's not at all the same logic they have at Leipzig, Salzburg and other clubs. Ultimately it's true that when you look at the project as it exists today, there is an anomaly in Paris.

"The fact of having only one big club (Paris Saint-Germain), immense certainly, but only one club. We are the only major city in Europe to have just one. Most major cities have two, or even between five and 10 concerning London for example."

Speaking on his new role with the company in October, Klopp said: "After almost 25 years on the sideline, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this. The role may have changed but my passion for football and the people who make the game what it is has not.

"By joining Red Bull at a global level, I want to develop, improve and support the incredible football talent that we have at our disposal. "There are many ways that we can do this front using the elite knowledge and experience that Red Bull possesses to learning from other sports and other industries. Together we can discover what is possible."
