England must beat Greece in their final Nations League clash tonight if they stand any chance of topping Group B in what is Lee Carsley's penultimate game in charge before Thomas Tuchel takes over in 2025

England face Greece once more in the Nations League needing three points to have any chance of topping Group B2.

The Three Lions will be hoping to exact revenge on their opponents when they meet in Athens tonight. Greece emerged triumphant when the two sides faced off last month, securing a 2-1 win in what was England's first-ever defeat against them in 10 meetings.

Greece have enjoyed a stellar group phase thus far with four wins out of four. They are three points ahead of England with a +3 goal difference advantage heading into the final round of fixtures.

Victory against Ivan Jovanovic's side will leave the Three Lions in a solid position to make an immediate return to the Nations League League A, ahead of next week's clash against the Republic of Ireland. However, that could depend on the outcome of Greece's final match against Finland. Mirror Football have all the key info about where – and how – to watch tonight's game.

Predicted team news

Lee Carsley has plenty of issues to contend with ahead of the match. Eight players have withdrawn from the England before the Nations League double-header.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Levi Colwill, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Cole Palmer, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka have all pulled out. Their replacements are Morgan Rogers, Jarrod Bowen, Jarrad Branthwaite, Tino Livramento and James Trafford.

While England still maintain a strong squad, with the likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Ollie Watkins available for selection, it's a blow for Carsley to have so many key figures missing.

How have England fared so far in the Nations League?

England started off strongly with comfortable 2-0 victories over Republic of Ireland and Finland, but they hit a major roadblock in their shock 2-1 defeat to Greece. The Three Lions bounced back straight away with a second victory over the Finns, coming out on top 3-1 thanks to goals from Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Declan Rice.

However, three wins out of four has not been enough to maintain top spot in Group B thanks to Greece's impressive form, having won all four games so far while conceding just one goal in the process.
