Prince George seriously hero-worships his dad, Prince William, royal experts have claimed.

George, 11, is the second in line to the throne after his father, and over the years has shown one particular sign of just how much he really idolises William, and that they share a very close bond. George has begun in recent years to mimic his dad's mannerisms, and has picked up on similar body language cues, the experts claimed.

Robert Jobson - Royal Editor of the Standard and author of several royal biographies - noted in his book Catherine, the Princess of Wales, that George even tries to emulate his father's outfits when they go out together. "George, who insists on dressing like his father when he accompanies him, is even beginning to copy William's mannerisms. If he ever appears awkward or overwhelmed, his dad is always close by to put a protective hand on his shoulder," the royal expert explained.

Jobson isn't the only expert to take note of these habits from the young future king, with body language expert Judi James echoing these sentiments. After George went with his father to watch their favourite football team - Aston Villa - take on Birmingham in 2023, many royal fans noticed that the father and son duo had uncannily similar reactions to the action going on the field.

Both father and son are massive football fans, and George has clearly inherited William's longstanding passion for Aston Villa - but the pair have also watched the international team together over the years. When the pair took in the nail-biting match at Villa Park last year the body language expert noted just how much George "mirrors" his father, indicating the close friendship they enjoy.

"Mirroring, or postural echo, is a form of mimicry that can signal like-minded thinking, empathy, and even admiration or hero-worship. He [George] dresses like William and the pair respond to the sporting action in ways that are at times identical, even when those responses look spontaneous. What's interesting is that their body language copying looks subliminal and mutual. This means that William is now echoing his son as much as George is him.

"This suggests a duo bonding that is based on friendship as well as father-son dynamics. The way they tilt their heads together to talk reflects this sense of companionship that both probably enjoy," the expert explained, as reported in The Express.
