Chelsea will be looking to continue their impressive form when they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League later today.

Despite making 11 changes, Chelsea were still able to kick up an emphatic win in the Conference League midweek, beating Gent 4-2 at Stamford Bridge. Next up for Enzo Maresca's side is a clash against Forest in the Premier League, where the Blues will be looking to win a sixth game in a row across all competitions for the first time since March 2022.

Forest lost their first Premier League game of the season in their last outing, with Nuno Espirito Santo's side sitting mid-table after six games. Chelsea beat the Reds 3-2 in the last meeting between the two sides, but the Blues have failed to win their last two meetings at Stamford Bridge against Forest, losing 1-0 at home last season.

As good as Chelsea have been going forward in recent weeks, they've looked shaky at the back, and they almost went behind when Robert Sanchez's clearance was intercepted by Chris Wood, but the striker's lobbed attempt skimmed the top of the crossbar. It was a big let-off for the Blues, but it didn't matter as they took the lead minutes later.

Cole Palmer picked up the ball from deep, and some lovely footwork saw the midfielder dance through the Forest midfield before poking the ball into the feet of Nicolas Jackson. Enzo Fernandez opted to shoot from 20 yards out when the visitors failed to close him down, and his powerful shot rebounded off the crossbar and into the path of Jackson who headed into an empty net from a few yards out.
