Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that a special event will take place this weekend for their Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Spurs will host the Merseyside club at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they aim to secure another important three points. Ange Postecoglou and Co. will first face Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-final before hosting Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend after recently defeating Southampton 5-0 in the top flight.

It was confirmed by Tottenham that Sunday's game against Liverpool will showcase the new agreement between the club and Netflix. The agreement will see the popular series 'Squid Game' feature in several promotions around the stadium.

Spurs have confirmed that a brand new trailer for the second season of the series will be broadcast on the big screens at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at half-time. There will also be similar promotions for the series for the home game against Wolves on December 29, the club's final fixture of 2024.

“Squid Game 2 will undoubtedly be one of the most talked-about shows over the festive period and our partnership with Netflix places the club at the centre of popular culture," said Ryan Norys, Tottenham's chief revenue officer, via the club website.

"This is yet another exciting way to enhance the matchday experience and bring our fans fresh, engaging content across digital channels”.

Tottenham's win over Southampton ended a run of three matches in the Premier League without a victory, which also included two defeats. Spurs will be hoping for a similar result to last season's home clash against Liverpool when they meet the Merseyside club this weekend, with Postecoglou overseeing a 2-1 victory in North London in September last year.
