Nuno Espirito Santo has emphasised that Nottingham Forest's approach against Chelsea won't solely focus on in-form Cole Palmer.

Fresh off the back of a stunning performance that saw Palmer net all four goals in Chelsea's 4-2 victory over Brighton, Forest are preparing for a challenge at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Palmer's tally stands at six Premier League goals so far, second only to Manchester City's striking sensation Erling Haaland. Discussing the upcoming match, Forest manager Nuno said: "We cannot ignore him (Palmer) but the game plan is not based on one player."

"There is a lot of talent in Chelsea's squad and Chelsea are much more than individual players. They have a very good idea of football and the way they create possession, and then it's about releasing the space for the talented players."

For Forest, he stressed that team unity and tactical organisation hold the key: "For us, it's always about the team the spaces and organisation. If we can in some way prevent the good players from putting the balls in the right spaces then we are doing good work."

The Forest boss also reaffirmed his strategic emphasis ahead of the clash, saying: "I insist that I spoke with the team about Chelsea, this is what we have to focus on."

Morgan Gibbs-White's return to availability gives Forest a boost following his absence in the 1-0 defeat to Fulham due to a suspension incurred from a red card in a 2-2 draw at Brighton. Recently named in Lee Carsley's England squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland, the influential midfielder's presence could be pivotal.

On Gibbs-White, Nuno commented: "It's very important to have him back, he's a very special player for us. His talent, the team relies on him to produce things. It's good to have him back and I'm happy for him to have been called up (to England) again."

Only Liverpool have let in fewer goals than Forest in the first six matches of the league season. However, Forest have only managed to score six times and Nuno stated: "That's the big issue in football, finding the balance and what works in both boxes. We are producing a lot but we should be more clinical. I believe that we are going to improve."
