Naas Racecourse is excited to welcome back Mandy Maher, stylist, influencer, and model agency boss, and Sarah McDermott, renowned fashion and style influencer and model, as the judging panel for the Best Dressed Competition at the upcoming Lawlor’s of Naas Grade 1 Novice Hurdle & Winter Best Dressed Day on Sunday, 5th January 2025.

The fashion competition, open to all, is once again sponsored by the Frasers and promises an incredible day of fashion, racing, and celebrations, marking the perfect finale to the festive season. With a €2,000 Frasers gift card, a two-night stay in a luxurious suite at Lawlor's of Naas Town Centre Hotel, dinner at Vi’s Restaurant, and Tipsy Afternoon Tea for the overall winner, the stakes are high for this glamorous event. Prizes for second and third place include €100 Frasers gift cards and Afternoon Tea at Lawlor’s Hotel.

This year’s flagship raceday is set to be even bigger and better with the addition of a Grade 2 Racing Post Novice Chase to the stellar card, further elevating one of Ireland’s premier National Hunt events. The day offers a thrilling mix of top-class racing, fashion, food, and entertainment, making it a must-attend occasion.

But the festivities don’t end there! Lawlor’s of Naas Hotel, title sponsor of Naas Racecourse’s Grade 1 Day, is hosting a Women’s Christmas Ball on the evening of Saturday, 4th January, making it the ultimate excuse to get the girls together for a night away. Guests can enjoy the glamorous ball, stay overnight in the luxurious hotel, and head to the races the next day in their best attire for more fun and excitement.

Mandy Maher commented ahead of the event: "Winter racing is the perfect opportunity to showcase fabulous coats, hats, and accessories. We’re looking for outfits that are stylish, practical, and full of personality. Comfort and warmth are key for a long day at the races!"

Sarah McDermott added: "Frasers has a fantastic selection of winter styles perfect for the occasion. From chic coats and boots to top-notch makeup brands, there’s something for everyone to elevate their race-day look. It’s going to be a fabulous day of fashion and fun!"

The Grade 1 Lawlor’s of Naas Novice Hurdle remains the centrepiece of the day, serving as a key indicator of future stars in the National Hunt scene. With past winners like Bob Olinger and Envoi Allen, it’s a race not to be missed. Racegoers can enjoy an unforgettable mix of fashion, sport, and hospitality.

Niamh Byrne, Marketing Manager at Naas Racecourse, commented: "We are delighted to have Mandy and Sarah back as judges for the Best Dressed Competition, and we are incredibly grateful to the Frasers and Lawlor’s of Naas for their continued support. This year’s additions, including the Grade 2 Novice Chase and the Women’s Christmas Ball, make this raceday even more special—a fitting way to celebrate the season."

General admission tickets are priced at €15, with all fashion entrants receiving a complimentary glass of fizz! For more information, to purchase tickets, or to book hospitality, visit www.naasracecourse.com
