Tyson Fury says 'sacrificed a lot' as he admits he hasn't spoken to wife Paris for months

Tyson Fury has claimed he has not spoken to his wife Paris for three months as he prepares to face rival Oleksandr Usyk. The boxer will attempt to avenge his sole career defeat during his rematch this weekend.

He will take on Usyk in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, December 21. The Ukrainian took the first match on points after a back-and-forth fight of two halves.

In preparation for the bout, Fury claims he has not spoken to his family. He told Queensberry Promotions: "I’ll end his career, this will be, you’ll never hear about Oleksandr Usyk again after this.

"It’s been a long camp, hasn’t seen my wife and kids in three months. I haven’t spoken to [my wife] at all in three months. Not one word, sacrificed a lot. But it’ll all be worth it, 100 per cent."

Fury recently revealed how Paris suffered a miscarriage just 24 hours before he walked into the ring for his defeat by Usyk in May, Mirror reports. His wife broke the news when he returned home to Morecambe.

Fury said: "I had to make the decision, do I tell him? And I came to the conclusion that whatever was happening with me, I couldn’t change it. But I could change dramatically what was happening in his life.

"I made up a lie that I had high blood pressure. It was the only thing I could think of that would stop me from flying without having to give him the terrible news."

Fury offered to send a private jet to fly Paris to Saudi Arabia. He said he knew something was wrong when she declined but he 'didn’t want to believe it'.

Mother-of-seven Paris said she 'knew there was a problem' during the gender scan when she could not see a heartbeat 'flickering' on the screen. She said: "The sonographer said to me "I’m really sorry, Paris, there’s no heartbeat".

"I jumped up, started to cry, and said "No, hold on, hold on. No, no, wait" and went all frantic." Paris praised the 'exceptional' hospital staff who helped her give birth to her unborn son without being put to sleep.

She said: "At the time it feels like your world is ripped to pieces. But I know everyone can get through it. And what is so traumatic one day, becomes a memory.

"You know, you had that little piece of life, even if it’s such a short time. Mentally I’m at ease with what went on. Physically, I’m OK."
