Police appeal after Wallsend football ground sustains around £2,000 worth of damage

Police are appealing for information after around £2,000 worth of damage was caused to a local football ground.

Northumbria Police received a report of significant damage to the spectator rails around the football pitches close to the Langdale Centre in Wallsend.

It is believed to have happened sometime overnight on Thursday, October 17, into the morning of Friday, October 18. The estimated cost of the damage is valued at £2,000.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
