Oppo has officially announced November 21 as the global launch date for its highly anticipated Find X8 series, which includes the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. Already released in China earlier this month, these flagship models are now reaching markets worldwide, including India. The Find X8 series will debut with several upgrades, such as powerful camera sensors, including a dual-periscope telephoto camera, AI-powered telescopic zoom, and fine-tuning with Hasselblad. The series is also the first flagship to feature MediaTek's latest Dimensity 9400 chipset.

MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9400 processor is designed to power mobile devices and handle demanding AI applications and even intensive gaming. MediaTek claims that the Dimensity 9400 chipset is 40 percent more power-efficient than its predecessor. In fact, some early benchmarks suggest that the Dimensity 9400 even outpaces Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite in performance, making it a powerful chipset for demanding tasks such as gaming, photography, and AI-powered applications.

While the processor is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the upcoming Find X8 series, Oppo has focused heavily on camera capabilities, continuing its collaboration with Hasselblad to deliver a high-end camera experience. Both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro models incorporate what Oppo says “Hasselblad Master Camera System,” which is said to enhance image quality with refined colour accuracy and rich detail.

Additionally, Oppo has introduced a unique “AI-powered Telescope Zoom” feature, allowing users to capture clear, detailed images even from significant distances without loss of clarity. Oppo claims this advanced zoom capability, reportedly extending beyond 10x, is one of the most powerful on an Oppo device to date.

In the Pro variant, Oppo has also included a specialised dual-periscope telephoto camera system designed for long-range photography. Oppo says that this setup will offer natural colour tones and minimal distortion at high zoom levels. Another new addition to the Find X8 series is the “Lightning Snap” feature, which will allow the device to capture rapid bursts of up to seven shots per second, ensuring every detail is preserved with minimal lag—an ideal feature for fast-action photography.

As for the hardware specifications, looking at the Chinese variant, the standard Find X8 is lightweight at 193 grams with a slim 7.85 mm thickness, featuring a 6.59-inch display with thin bezels. Meanwhile, the Find X8 Pro is slightly larger, showcasing a 6.78-inch quad-curved screen with an elegant design. In India, the Find X8 will be available in two colours, Star Grey and Space Black, while the Pro variant offers Space Black and a striking Pearl White option.

In terms of battery, the Find X8 packs a 5,630mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro includes a slightly larger 5,910mAh battery, both using Oppo's silicon-carbon battery technology to extend battery life. Alongside the large battery capacities, the series also supports fast charging.

Running on ColorOS 15, the Find X8 series will benefit from Oppo’s latest software enhancements. The new ColorOS 15 introduces many AI tools, productivity features, and a refreshed layout, to fully optimise the hardware for a seamless experience.
