Training programme

The National Statistics Office, Field Operations Division, will conduct a training for its field officials on December 18 and 19 in Coimbatore city on collecting data for Comprehensive Modular Survey - Telecom, and Survey on Household Social Consumption : Health.

The surveys will go on for about a year from January 1, 2025 for the health spending details and the Modular Survey will be for about three months. PP Vineesh, Joint Director of NSO (FOD), Coimbatore, will inaugurate the training.

Technical seminar

The South India Textile Research Association (SITRA) will conduct a technological conference on December 19.

About 250 delegates from the industry, educational institutions, and research laboratories will attend the event and present 10 technical papers. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner, will inaugurate the conference. R. Lalitha, Director, Department of Textiles, will deliver the special address.
