WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that transcribes voice notes into text, enabling users to read messages instead of listening to them. This feature ensures privacy by performing transcriptions directly on the user's device, adhering to WhatsApp's encryption standards.

Only recipients will be able to see transcript of voice message and not the sender.

With this launch, WhatsApp continues to enhance its functionality, making communication more inclusive and adaptable for users worldwide.

Apple introduced a similar feature along with iOS 17 during last year’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference.
