Power equipment stolen from Kayah State Sub-power station
· Eleven Media Group Co., LtdPower transmitters and cables were stolen from the 33 KV Ywartanshe village substation in Kayah State.
On November 3, U Aye Kyaw, Deputy Minister of Electric Power, along with Kayah State Minister of Natural Resources U Saw Huhu, visited Loikaw to inspect the damage caused by insurgent activity. They assessed repair needs for both the power control room and staff housing in the compound.
The Deputy Minister also met with staff at the 33 KV substation, urging immediate restoration efforts to ensure power stability, employee safety, and security of the premises. He then reviewed the condition of damaged transmission equipment.
Afterward, U Aye Kyaw proceeded to the No. 2 Bilu River Power Plant, where he examined ongoing repair work caused by water inflows from the surrounding hills, meeting with plant officials to discuss progress.
