Entrance to Jog Falls to be closed for completion of works

The Deputy Commissioner of Shivamogga has ordered the closure of the entrance to Jog Falls, a major tourist attraction of the district, for tourists between January 1, 2025 and March 15, 2025, in view of on-going civil works on the premises.

The Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Jog Management Authority, issued a press release, stating that the works to improve basic amenities for tourists visiting the place were going on.

The works taken up included entrance plaza, which had to be completed within the stipulated time. To avoid any inconvenience to tourists during the civil works, the management authority decided to close the entrance to visitors.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the people to cooperate with the authority.
