Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at the Statue of Unity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the iconic Statue of Unity in Gujarat on the birth anniversary of the country's first home minister.

PM Modi celebrated the festival with the personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF), Army, Navy and Air Force near the Sir Creek area in Kutch district where he offered sweets to jawans. 

In a video shared by officials, Modi, wearing a BSF uniform, can be seen offering sweets to the personnel on board a patrol vessel.
